What to Expect

We sail rain or shine. Abracadabra is a fast boat and it can get chilly. There is no cabin or bathroom but we have a few comfortable bean chairs in the scoop of the boat and ample seating in the cockpit.

Bring a windbreaker, layers, close toed shoes, sunscreen and a hat. You’ll get to drive the boat and be a grinder to raise the sails. Life jackets are available but not required.

We will sail with up to 12 passengers. Due to safety concerns, this voyage is for people 13+ years old. No pets are allowed.

All handbags/bags must be stowed while the boat is moving. You can bring your own snacks and drinks. Please don't bring any alcoholic beverages or glass containers.

Each customer will be required to sign a waiver prior to boarding.

Please check in with one of our crew at the welcome signs at the gate no later than 30 minutes prior to sailing time. The entire group leaves for the boat 10 minutes prior to scheduled sailing time. We will push off on time and will not provide any refunds or rebookings for late arrivals.

A free parking lot is available on Shelter Island, 2230 Shelter Island Drive, San Diego, CA 92106 (in front of Bali Hai) and a 10-15 minute walk to the dock.

Free parking on surrounding streets is very limited especially during summer. Ride shares are encouraged.

Metered parking is insufficient with only 3 hours allowed.
